The Prince’s Countryside Fund Clay Shoot 2017
May 11, 2017
The Prince's Countryside Fund Annual Clay Shoot raises a fantastic £27,000 to support those living and working in the countryside.
On Friday 5th May teams gathered for The Prince’s Countryside Fund sixth annual charity clay shoot at the West Wycombe estate in Buckinghamshire. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and helped to raise over £27,000 for the Fund.
The event is a real highlight of our year and we are delighted that so many teams return annually to see if they will triumph or go home with the wooden spoon. It is a very special event and this year we were delighted to be joined by multi-World and European English sport shooter clay-shooting champion, George Digweed MBE. As well as joining one of the teams the day’s shooting was concluded with a tremendous shooting demonstration by George which saw him shoot numerous helium filled balloons at a great distance all from the hip!
As well as being an enjoyable sporting event it is also an important fundraiser for the charity and helps us generate income to support our grant programme.
