Success for grant beneficiaries
December 7, 2018
The Fund is delighted that three of our grant beneficiaries have recently received recognition for all their hard work.
Beckbury Community Shop in Shropshire, and Urban Biodiversity from Cornwall, were both runners up at the Plunkett Foundation Rural Community Ownership Awards. Beckbury were nominated for ‘The Little Things’ Award, which was looking for a community business that tackles loneliness and isolation in rural areas in an accessible and effective way. Urban Dioversity were nominated for The Horace Plunkett ‘Better Business’ Award which was looking for a community business with longevity and a track record that is able to demonstrate innovative business practices to enable it to thrive and succeed.
Fittleworth Community Store, one of the Fund’s most recent beneficiaries, have been nominated for a ‘rural Oscar’ Countryside Alliance Award – the awards take place in June 2019.
Well done to all our beneficiaries for your fantastic work!
