Defra ‘Farming is Changing’ leaflet

The Farming is Changing leaflet was designed by Defra to increase awareness and understanding of the changes that will follow after Brexit.
It provides farmers and land managers with a high-level summary of our policy decisions to date, including the phasing out Direct Payments and information on ELM. There’s no new policy information in the leaflet, but it’s the first time that all of this information has been published in one place and in a way that’s easy to understand.
The leaflet uses straightforward, simple language and gives as much concrete information as possible. Where a policy decision hasn’t been made yet, we acknowledge this and promise to keep farmers and land managers informed as details are finalised.
