Celebrating Agricultural Excellence at the Royal Highland Show

July 2, 2024

This year at the Royal Highland Show, we proudly celebrated the achievements of Lanarkshire dairy farmers, Willie and Margaret Bryson, winners of The Royal Countryside Fund Family Farm award.

In recognition of their significant contributions to sustainable farming, the Brysons were honoured at the M&S Select Farm Awards ceremony on the retailer’s stand at this year’s Royal Highland Show.

Willie and Margaret, who have 200 cows, have grown the farming business over several years, and have been in M&S’ renowned milk pool for a decade. The family are heavily involved with farming community work and have hosted both farm grazing workshops, to explore and share ideas about different grazing methods, and, in association with the Royal Highland Education Trust, have hosted schoolchildren from a primary school in East Kilbride, to encourage them to learn about the countryside and farming.

The Royal Highland Show has been a vibrant platform for us to engage with the farming community, promote environmental awareness, and highlight the crucial support networks available to farmers. As we continue our efforts to foster a thriving and sustainable countryside, we remain dedicated to empowering rural communities, echoing the commitment of our founders and the ongoing support of our partners.
