French contemporary artist, Carol Bruton, has generously donated her artwork Raindrops (Gold) to be auctioned in aid of The Prince's Countryside Fund.
The acrylic painting on glass is designed to show the peaceful repetition of raindrops, and emphasises Carol’s fascination with their perfect formation. Carol wants to draw the viewer’s attention to the fragility of our planet and uses these rounds of glistening colour to create a meditative state of the mind. Carol uses cold glass and pigments and individually places each drop onto the canvas until the artwork reflects rain in its purest of forms. Raindrops (Gold) is part of the HRH Prince Albert 11 of Monaco art collection.
